Must be available to work day shift: 8am to 3pm, 7 days a week.

Under the general direction of the Lead Gas Station Attendant, the primary functions of this position is to coordinates the operation of the gas station activities of the fuel division and show customer courtesy, precise workmanship and safety for customers and employees. 

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES (and other duties as assigned)

  • Conduct daily inspection of all entry doors for tampering at the opening of the day.  Turn on power to pumps and compressor.  Attend to customers from opening to closing. 
  • Process Receive on Account (ROA) requested by ASRC Accounting, responsible for reviewing and correcting telecheck for credit card sales balance to the reconciliation form. 
  • Report any problems, such as vandalism, any pumps leaking, non-working equipment, tire repair or burnt out lights to management.
  • Open shift with own till by counting open cashes, enter open cash to console, turn signs over open for business.
  • Ensure all petroleum products are stacked in neat order.  Coordinate with Tank Farm Operators for pickup and delivery of Kerosene, Propane, and AV gas containers.  Match Tank Farm invoices with product filled in connex.
  • Receives payment or obtains credit authorization for purchases.
  • Responsible for keeping the work place clean at all times includes sweeping, mopping, dusting, sanitizing bathroom, pick up trash or litter from outside on premises.  Take Gas Station office trash outside, and clean Petro-vend Room.
  • Perform other duties as assigned.  Will be on-call as needed.

EDUCATION and/or EXPERIENCE

  • The ability to speak and understand the Inupiaq language is important and preferred.
  • Strong knowledge, understanding and sensitivity to the Inupiat culture.     
  • High school or equivalent certification.
  • Must be able to work independently, and must be willing to work shifts that vary from day to night and operate seven days a week.
  • 40 hour Hazwoper certification is preferred.
  • Hazardous Material Certification is preferred.
  • Hazardous Communication Certification is preferred.
  • First Aid CPR Training is preferred.
  • Spill Response Training is preferred.
