Responsible for day to day dock and Terminal duty operations with diligence and courtesy towards customers.

Assist Terminal Manager in directing and overseeing all operations of the Kodiak facility in a safe, efficient and productive manner. When Terminal Manager is off island, the Plant Foreman will assist the Administration Manager and the Director of NPF Operations in overseeing and directing Kodiak operations.


ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES (and other duties as assigned)

  • Assist Terminal Manager in hiring, training and supervising a sufficient number of employees to operate Kodiak facilities safely and efficiently while providing the highest level of customer service at all times.
  • Complete goal-setting and performance reviews for direct reports and provide leadership and coaching during PSI’s annual performance management processes.
  • Maintain customer base by providing necessary services to satisfy their requirements and actively pursue potential new business.
  • Assist Terminal Manager in keeping the Director of NPF Operations appraised through regular communications of inventory, sales volumes, projects, potential new business, local political issues, personnel issues or anything else important to the efficient and successful operation of the business.
  • Assign priority to and monitor the status of the maintenance of all tank farms, warehouses, load racks, dock, truck fleet and equipment.
  • Assist Terminal Manger in serving as a point of contact at the local level for Government officials (i.e. ADEC, Coast Guard, EPA, FIRE MARSHALL, OSHA) and maintain compliance with all regulations set forth by these agencies.
  • Responsible for inventory control of all fuel, lubricants and package stock in Kodiak.
  • Coordinate barge activity with appropriate PSI personnel for Kodiak resupply.
  • Respond to environmental concerns and report to Director of NPF Operations and required authorities as soon as possible.
  • Assist with training and development of new Drivers; monitor Driver routes and assist as needed.
  • Assist Terminal Manager and Administration Manager in preparing and submitting annual operations budget; monitor adherence to the approved budget during the operating year.
  • Schedule and supervise contract work.
  • Supervise and participate as a member of the North Pacific Fuel Hazardous Response Team.
  • Follow and enforce Company policies and procedures.
  • Monitor and oversee monthly project list.



  • 4-year degree in business related field or equivalent experience in related industry.
  • Valid Class A or B CDL License with X endorsement and a CDL Medical Card required; Must apply for a TWIC® card (Transportation Workers Identification Credential) within 30 days from date of hire at your own personal expense.
    • It is required by the Maritime Transportation Security Act of 2002(MTSA) that you maintain a valid TWIC card in order to work at this facility.  You must keep your TWIC card current and valid as a condition of employment
  • Working knowledge of fuel handling, storage and distribution operations.
  • Demonstrated ability to supervise, motivate, and maintain good relationships with employees.
  • Demonstrated excellence in customer service and written and verbal communication.
  • Working knowledge of government regulations and general computer applications.
  • Previous experience in retail sales.
  • Demonstrated ability to create logical and practical methods of troubleshooting operational, mechanical and personnel issues.
