The Project Security Manager is responsible for developing, implementing, and maintaining the overall security program for the project. This includes physical security, information security, compliance with federal contract requirements, and direct coordination with government-appointed security officials. The role ensures that all employees, subcontractors, and vendors adhere to established security standards to maintain a safe and compliant jobsite. Residents of Alaska may be given preference. Relocation assistance is not available. Do not apply unless you have an active Secret level clearance or can re-activate a previous clearance within 30 days.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Creating and maintaining security rosters for all employees and subcontractors working on the site.

  • Monitor and enforce physical security measures of the jobsite, jobsite offices, and control of documents in accordance with government approved plans.

  • Ensure sub-contractor and vendor compliance with contract security requirements

  • Coordinate with the Government appointed SSM for any and all security issues for the jobsite.

  • Oversee access control, including issuance, tracking, and recovery of badges, passes, and visitor credentials.

  • Conduct and document security training, orientations, and awareness programs for site personnel and visitors.

  • Maintain accountability for Controlled Unclassified Information (CUI) and classified materials, ensuring proper marking, storage, transmission, and destruction.

  • Report and document security violations or incidents; assist with investigations of security breaches or near-miss events.

  • Liaise with USACE security personnel, installation/base security, and local law enforcement when required.

  • Complete administrative tasks, reports, and other documentation to support project operations.

  • Perform other related duties as assigned.

KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS, AND ABILITIES

  • Ability and willingness to abide by the company’s code of conduct, policies and procedures.

  • Strong knowledge, understanding and sensitivity to the Inupiat culture.

  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office and computerized systems.

  • Detail-oriented, organized, and able to prioritize multiple tasks.

  • Ability to maintain confidentiality.

  • Effective written and verbal communication skills, including report writing and presenting to groups.

  • Ability to comply with, understand, and support ASRC Construction’s safety culture to ensure a safe work environment.

  • Ability to write routine reports and correspondence and speak effectively before groups of employees or customers.

QUALIFICATIONS

  • Minimum of 5 years’ experience demonstrating an ability to supervise and coordinate efforts of multiple stakeholders.

  • Minimum of 2 years’ experience demonstrating an ability to complete administrative tasks, account for large numbers of personnel or equipment.

  • Minimum of 2 years of experience working with and managing sensitive information.

  • Working knowledge of physical security requirements and procedures.

  • Working knowledge of Microsoft Office suite.

  • Active Secret level clearance or higher.

The work environment is in a busy construction setting.  The noise level in the work environment is usually varies. While performing the duties of this job, the employee may be occasionally exposed to outside weather conditions and may be required to travel in small and large commercial aircraft.
