Parts Technician (Dayshift) – AEQ Prudhoe Bay
JOB SUMMARY
The Parts Technician will manage and dispense inventory for light-duty and heavy-duty parts and will be responsible for stock handling, identifying and cataloguing parts and assemblies, researching, ordering, receiving, inspecting, sorting, issuing, and selling parts.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES
• Accurately maintain records of all light-duty and heavy-duty parts and accurately record inventory transactions.
• Receive, store, and organize parts and assemblies in designated storage areas, ensuring proper handling and storage conditions to prevent damage or deterioration.
• Demonstrate proficiency in identifying various parts and components; utilize computer systems effectively for inventory management, invoicing, and customer interactions.
• Manage multiple tasks efficiently to meet the demands of a dynamic work environment; prioritize tasks effectively to ensure timely completion of orders and requests.
• Provide professional, knowledgeable, and courteous assistance to customers; address all inquiries regarding but not limited to current inventory, product availability, pending parts, tracking, usage, etc.
• Accurately retrieve parts from stock based on order requirements; prepare and package parts for shipment or for pickup.
• Maintain accurate documentation and records of invoices, accurately generate invoices for parts sold, verify pricing and quantities, review invoices thoroughly, and include detailed descriptions of parts and services on invoices to provide transparency and clarity as necessary.
• Initiate re-stocking process as needed; monitor inventory levels, utilize inventory management systems or inventory tracking tools, identify low stock items, retrieve parts from storage areas or shelves, conduct visual inspections of incoming shipments to verify quality and condition.
• Ensure proper labeling, storing, and staging of light-duty and heavy-duty parts as well as incoming shipments.
• Must be able to lift up to 100lbs.
• Must be able to be on feet 10-12 hours a day.
• Compute charges for merchandise or services, process payments, receive payments, and prepare and maintain work orders, bills of lading, and shipping orders to facilitate material handling and recordkeeping purposes.
• Advise customers on use and care of merchandise.
• Record shipment data, such as weight, charges, space availability, damages, or discrepancies, for reporting, accounting, and recordkeeping purposes.
• Examine shipment contents and compare with records, such as manifests, invoices, or orders, to verify accuracy.
• Other duties will be assigned to this position as required.
• Comply with Company and customer policies and procedures.
• Support AES zero-incident safety culture and assume personal accountability and responsibility for safe work practices in all projects, activities, and operations.
REQUIRED EXPERIENCE
• A valid (U.S issued) Driver’s License is required.
• A High School Diploma or GED is required.
• The ability to work dayshift 84 hours a week on a 2x2 rotation is required.
• A North Slope Training Cooperative (NSTC) safety training certification is required.
• A minimum of three (3) years’ experience working in Materials, Logistics, Heavy Equipment, and/or Light and Heavy-Duty parts is required.
• Proficient experience with Microsoft Office programs Word, Excel, and Outlook is required.
• Proficient experience with FleetFocus fleet management software is required.
• Good communication skills are a must and will be required to participate in daily toolbox meetings and weekly safety meetings.
PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS
· Five (5) or more years’ experience working in a Construction/Industrial setting, the Oil and Gas/Petrochemical industry, and/or the North Slope/Arctic environment is preferred.

WORKING ON THE NORTH SLOPE
While working on the North Slope of Alaska, your lodging and food will be provided to you. All camps provide warm meals and options to grab a quick lunch or snack from the spike rooms. Rooms vary from single status to shared rooms where your roommate may work the opposite shift. Wi-Fi and Internet are free and available within the camp. Services vary depending upon where you are staying; however, most facilities offer housekeeping, self-serve laundry, commissary, mail, gyms, TV/Theater Room, etc. Each facility will have their own accommodations and policies that will be reviewed upon on-site orientation.

WORK ENVIRONMENT
A candidate must be able to meet the following non-exclusive requirements:
