The Maintenance Manager shall provide maintenance leadership for Petro Star Inc.’s (PSI’s) non-process facilities, truck racks, and tank farms, ensuring conformance with corporate maintenance standards and expectations and supporting an operational standard of excellence. The Maintenance Manager is responsible for the overall serviceability of PSI’s non-process facilities, by advancing strategic maintenance initiatives and pursuing infrastructure reliability objectives. This position must perform strategically with sound decision-making while focusing on safety and site performance and supporting the Company's policies, goals, and objectives.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES (and other duties as assigned)

  1. Initiate, implement, and manage a best-in-class maintenance program for non-process facilities consistent with industry best practices within the petroleum terminaling and distribution industry, with a targeted emphasis on detailed planning and preventive/predictive maintenance.
  2. Serve as the maintenance and reliability program leader of all non-process facilities, ensuring adherence to corporate maintenance standards, policies, and procedures.
  3. Provide leadership and support to site maintenance leaders to facilitate safe and compliant operations and deliver long-term infrastructure performance, reliability and serviceability.
  4. Enhance PSI’s Computer Maintenance Management System (CMMS) technical platform to manage critical and non-critical spare parts inventories, advance work orders, and perform preventative maintenance tasks.
  5. Collaborate with other business units to develop and implement strategic plans and comprehensive procedures, deploy the adoption of technology for improved efficiency and processes, and improve maintenance work management processes.
  6. Identify and mitigate risks to equipment reliability, operational continuity, and maintenance safety.
  7. Coordination with site leadership to administer a systematic Management of Change (MOC) process to identify and mitigate maintenance risks that challenge corporate expectations for infrastructure performance, reliability and serviceability.
  8. Perform routine facility reviews to ensure compliance with maintenance program requirements and expectations, support training and development of operations personnel and continuously seek opportunities to optimize infrastructure performance, reliability and serviceability.
  9. Maintain knowledge and proficiency in programming electronic fuel delivery systems to ensure safe and reliable controls and accurate measurement for custody transfer loading and unloading of petroleum products.
  10. Collaborate with Operational Technology department to ensure software programing and IT infrastructure supports safe and compliant operations for product transfers and inventory management.
  11. Assist in developing competent document management and control processes, training manuals, and a quality control program to ensure preventative maintenance and services are performed in accordance with manufacturer recommendations and industry best practices.
  12. Maintain regulatory compliance with all federal, state and local regulations and associated permits. Ensure obligations are met using the CMMS and other software and document management tools.
  13. Develop and manage an annual expense budget for corporate maintenance initiatives and provide guidance on facility maintenance budgets.

EDUCATION and/or EXPERIENCE

  1. Associate's degree from a two-year college in a related technical field or certificate/diploma from a trade school in a related field and five years of experience in the maintenance or operation of a non-process industrial facility is preferred.
  2. Five years’ minimum supervisory experience in a reliability or maintenance setting.
  3. Valid, unrestricted driver’s license with clean driving record.
  4. Proficient project coordination, preventative maintenance programming, and management skills required.
  5. Excellent computer skills; Windows, MS Office (Word, Excel, Outlook, PowerPoint, etc.).
  6. Experience using CMMS.
  7. Knowledge of industry Safety Management Techniques is preferred.
  8. Project management experience preferred.
  9. Ability to manage multiple priorities and projects required. 

LANGUAGE SKILLS

Ability to read and accurately interpret documents such as safety rules, operating and maintenance instructions, and procedure manuals, write routine reports and correspondence and speak effectively before groups of employees or customers.

MATHEMATICAL SKILLS

Ability to add, subtract, multiply, and divide in all units of measure, using whole numbers, common fractions, and decimals. Ability to compute rate, ratio, and percent and to draw and interpret bar graphs.

REASONING ABILITY

Ability to apply common sense understanding to carry out instructions furnished in written, oral, or diagram form and resolve problems involving several concrete variables in standardized situations.
