Heavy Duty Oiler/Serviceman - Kuparuk Field Support Services - Fleet Shop

JOB SUMMARY

The Oiler/Serviceman is responsible for lubricating, performing safety checks, and monitoring fluid levels on trucks and equipment. This position assists heavy-duty mechanics during repairs and maintenance activities.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES

• Service engine, drivetrain, hydraulic and cooling systems on Heavy Duty equipment and vehicles 
• Monitor fluid levels on all vehicles and equipment.
• Perform brake inspections on air brake systems.
• Maintain records and logs of fluid consumption.
• Maintain schedules of all requests and work orders.
• Assist mechanics during repairs and maintenance activities.
• Clean and maintain equipment, tools, and the general work area.
• Comply with Company and customer policies and procedures.
• Support AES zero-incident safety culture and assume personal accountability and responsibility for safe work practices in all projects, activities, and operations.

REQUIRED EXPERIENCE

• Minimum five (5) years of experience with: Cat and Cummins engines, Cat loaders, dozers, rock trucks and graders, Volvo loaders, Hitachi Excavators, Manlifts, Tucker Snow cats, Vacuum trailers and Kenworth Tractors. 
• Minimum of a Class B or higher commercial driver's license required with HAZ endorsement and a current US DOT medical card.
• Valid driver’s license required.
• North Slope Training Cooperative (NSTC) safety training certification.

PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS

• Experience in the oil and gas industry and in the arctic environment preferred.

WORKING ON THE NORTH SLOPE

While working on the North Slope of Alaska, your lodging and food will be provided to you.  All camps provide warm meals and options to grab a quick lunch or snack from the spike rooms.   Rooms vary from single status to shared rooms where your roommate may work the opposite shift.  Wi-Fi and Internet is free and available within the camp.  Services vary depending upon where you are staying; however, most facilities offer housekeeping, self-serve laundry, commissary, mail, gyms, TV/Theater Room, etc.  Each facility will have their own accommodations and policies that will be reviewed upon on-site orientation.

WORK ENVIRONMENT

A candidate must be able to meet the following non-exclusive requirements:

• Meet the AES Driving Records and Motor Vehicle Use Policy.
• Take and pass a pre-employment drug test which may include both UA and hair testing.
• Meet the physical requirements of this position including working in a remote location under arctic conditions.
• Required to take and pass a Fit-For-Duty Exam.
• Required to complete and successfully pass a background check.
• Must be able to obtain and maintain an access badge for the work location.
