Facility Tool Room Attendant – Kuparuk Project Services – Mechanical Group

 

JOB SUMMARY

The Facility Tool Room attendant is responsible for procurement, receiving, inspecting, storing, and organizing equipment parts throughout the field and tools inside of the tool room. Maintain control of waste accumulation area. Use carpentry skills to build crates for parts and equipment going out for repairs and assist COPA Mechanics with daily tasks.

 

ESSENTIAL DUTIES

  • Procurement and coordination of turbine, compressor, pump, and HVAC parts and materials.
  • The upkeep and maintenance of all tools, work areas, and equipment.  This includes tool issuance and retrieval from the tool room.
  • Must perform routine safety inspections of all tools and equipment including the overhead crane, grinders, belt sanders, presses, table saw, band saw, AED unit, and eye wash stations.
  • Maintaining supply levels of all consumable materials used by work groups.
  • Coordination of global, time-sensitive, and high-value material shipments to and from the North Slope.  This includes coordinating with shippers and vendors to ensure timely deliveries.
  • Routine procurement of specialized, custom, and non-stock material from a multitude of vendors, worldwide.
  • Must maintain accurate, well organized records and files (electronic and hard copy) of all transactions.
  • Expediting/coordinating materials and personnel throughout Kuparuk, Prudhoe Bay, and Deadhorse.
  • Maintain control of the SAA (Satellite Accumulation Area) for hazardous & non-hazardous waste as well as logging and manifesting all facility oily waste.
  • Write Repair & Returns for equipment and machinery such as turbine/compressor components, pumps, HVAC units, and heat exchangers for the drill sites.
  • Coordinate material logistics between Materials Group Lead, Inventory Specialists, and ConocoPhillips Materials Supervisor.  Constant review of Purchase Orders, Goods Receipts, and Invoices is required to ensure the accuracy of material orders and delivery schedules.
  • Strong carpentry skills are required for the fabrication of custom crates and shipping containers for high value equipment.
  • Must be extremely proficient in SAP Global Logistics & Procurement software as it will be necessary to work inside PMO's (work orders), create Purchase Requisitions, and track the status of active Purchase Orders on a daily basis. Must also be able to use Stock Overview and SAP Material Search to research materials and engage product structures. The creation of Reservations is also essential for stocking consumables as well as setting up pre-job material manifests.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office to include Word, Outlook, and Excel.
  • Comply with Company and customer policies and procedures.
  • Other duties as assigned.

  • Support AES zero-incident safety culture and assume personal accountability and responsibility for safe work practices in all projects, activities, and operations.

 

REQUIRED EXPERIENCE

  • High school diploma or GED.
  • Minimum of five (5) years’ related work experience required.
  • Minimum of three (3) years SAP experience required.
  • Microsoft Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and Outlook experience required.
  • Valid driver’s license required.
  • North Slope Training Cooperative (NSTC) safety training certification.

 

PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS

  • Experience in the oil and gas industry and in the arctic environment preferred.

WORKING ON THE NORTH SLOPE

While working on the North Slope of Alaska, your lodging and food will be provided to you.  All camps provide warm meals and options to grab a quick lunch or snack from the spike rooms.   Rooms vary from single status to shared rooms where your roommate may work the opposite shift.  Wi-Fi and Internet is free and available within the camp.  Services vary depending upon where you are staying; however, most facilities offer housekeeping, self-serve laundry, commissary, mail, gyms, TV/Theater Room, etc.  Each facility will have their own accommodations and policies that will be reviewed upon on-site orientation.
