The Alpine Facility Rotating Equipment Mechanic is responsible for performing the full range of Rotating Equipment repair. Including the repair, and maintenance of industrial pumps, air compressors, Fin Fans, HVAC systems and other types of rotating equipment.
 
 
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES (AND OTHER DUTIES AS ASSIGNED)
  • Proficient with precision measurement tools. Ability to read and interpret blueprints, schematic drawings, and job specifications to determine work requirements. 
  • Disassemble machinery and equipment for shipment to installation sites or to vendors for repair. 
  • Assemble, install, repair, and maintain industrial rotating equipment such as, centrifugal pumps,  centrifugal compressors, reciprocating pumps and compressors, hydraulic and pneumatic systems, cooling fans, HVAC systems.
  • Move machinery and equipment using hoists, jacks, rollers, and trucks. 
  • Use SAP system to enter work order information and document repair data as required.
  • Assist in the Maintenance and repair of GE Frame 5, GE-10, and Solar Taurus 60 & Titan 130 Gas Turbines.  
  • Use of machinery alignment equipment. Dial indicators and Rotalign Laser Alignment system.
  • Comply with Company and customer policies and procedures.
  • Support AES zero-incident safety culture and assume personal accountability and responsibility for safe work practices in all projects, activities, and operations.
 
MINIMUM EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE
High school diploma or GED with a minimum of five (5) years related training and experience required. Experience in the oil and gas industry and in the arctic environment preferred.
 
CERTIFICATIONS
North Slope Training Cooperative (NSTC) safety training certification and a valid driver's license required.

A candidate must be able to meet the following non-exclusive requirements:
  • Take and pass a pre-employment drug test which may include both UA and hair testing.                
  • Meet the physical requirements of this position including working in a remote location under arctic conditions.
  • Must be able to obtain and maintain an access badge for the work location.
The availability of this position is contingent upon the Company’s continued operational needs once training is completed.
