JOB SUMMARY
This position works closely with Hilcorp Operations and the tool pushers to support their ongoing material needs both scheduled and unscheduled. First and foremost, this position must choose safety as a priority in all situations and be a leader and willing to actively participate in BST and all other safety processes with a strong commitment.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES
This position will be directing daily activities with the drilling coordinator, warehouseman/expediter, temporary ice road support crews, and ice road truck drivers related to drilling materials.
Candidate must be willing to act as a team member in a team orientated work environment which is a key aspect to our success.
Must support all drilling related activities with a strong focus on the locally based Rig(s).
The Materials Drilling lead position will support all drilling related activities with a strong focus on the locally based Rig(s).
This position also supports all well work needs, Roads and Pads, and multiple 3rd party contractors related to the position such as MI SWACO, Schlumberger, Halliburton, EXPRO, Little Red (Hot Oil), Baker, FMC along with any other drilling related contractors as needed to ensure proper materials are identified and available.
Works closely with Hilcorp town-based Drilling planners and engineers to identify materials, quantities, and coordinates all drilling related materials during the annual ice road re-supply activities.
Monitors and supports all down hole well completions and schedules to ensure adequate materials are available in advance.
Closes out materials well completions and reconciles all inventories.
Creates requisitions in SAP for materials as required.
Performs and or directs all annual inventories specific to drilling, scheduled and unscheduled.
Candidate must possess good clear communication and strong people skills, along with strong motivation and self-direction abilities.
Must be able to prioritize with effective multitasking skills, delegate and direct duties to crew.
Must have good organizational skills and be able to develop or update any SOP’s related to the drilling organization.
Comply with Company and customer policies and procedures.
Support AES zero-incident safety culture and assume personal accountability and responsibility for safe work practices in all projects, activities, and operations.
Other duties will be assigned to this position as needs require.
REQUIRED EXPERIENCE
5+ years of Drilling/Workover Rig experience required.
Ability to identify common tubular thread connections.
Understanding of downhole jewelry and completions equipment.
2+ years of Loader Experience handling Casing tubulars.
Candidate must have strong background in materials, drilling tools, wellhead, and tubular identification and the reconciliation of drilling inventories.
The ability to work 80.5 – 84 hours a week on a 2x2 or 3x3 rotation is required.
Must have a high school diploma or GED equivalent.
Valid driver’s license required
North Slope Training Cooperative (NSTC) safety training certification required.
PREFERRED EXPERIENCE
Five (5) years’ experience working in the Oil and Gas or Petrochemical industry, on the North Slope, or in an Arctic environment is preferred.
SAP experience preferred, specifically: for ordering, managing, receiving, issuing and inventorying all materials on site.
Proficient with working in Networks and PM Orders are preferred.
Previous experience in an Arctic environment is preferred.

WORKING ON THE NORTH SLOPE
While working on the North Slope of Alaska, your lodging and food will be provided to you. All camps provide warm meals and options to grab a quick lunch or snack from the spike rooms. Rooms vary from single status to shared rooms where your roommate may work the opposite shift. Wi-Fi and Internet is free and available within the camp. Services vary depending upon where you are staying; however, most facilities offer housekeeping, self-serve laundry, commissary, mail, gyms, TV/Theater Room, etc. Each facility will have its own accommodation and policies that will be reviewed upon on-site orientation.
PHYSICAL DEMANDS AND WORK ENVIRONMENT
The physical demands and work environment requirements outlined below are representative of those necessary to successfully perform the essential functions of this position. A post-offer, pre-hire Functional Capacity Evaluation (FCE) will be conducted to ensure an employee’s ability to safely meet job standards.
