Under the general direction of the Corporate Controller, the primary function of this position is to oversee and perform all aspects related to Corporate Financial Reporting, Ad Hoc reporting as necessary, assist with the month end close, and assist with subsidiary technical GAAP analysis and support. Additionally, this position will leverage technologies to work on various data analytics projects providing solutions to improve processes and increase efficiencies across our subsidiaries and shared services.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES, COMPETENCIES, AND RESPONSIBILITIES (and other duties as assigned)
- Prepare the monthly consolidated financial statements
- Assist with subsidiary technical GAAP analysis support
- Support the annual corporate audit, including drafting of the consolidated financial statements and footnotes
- Oversee new accounting standard implementation and ongoing monitoring
- Oversee intercompany transactions and eliminations
- Review and help prepare supporting schedules of the 401(k) and Health and Welfare Plans and assist with the associated audits
- Assist with the month end close and journal entries for ASRC Corporate
- Provide assistance to ASRC Corporate Finance department, as needed
- Maintain the Master Entity and Master Account Hierarchies
- Review subsidiary mapping of accounts into Oracle
- Help manage leases in the Company’s lease accounting software
- Develop process improvement and automation solutions using various tools to create efficiencies across the organization
- Strong analytical skills with the ability to collect, organize, and analyze significant amounts of information with attention to detail and accuracy
- Ability to learn new processes and technologies, understand and explain complex concepts
- Strong organization, project management, and time management skills with ability to work effectively with people at all levels in an organization

EDUCATION and/or EXPERIENCE
- 4 year accounting degree, CPA encouraged
- 3-5 years accounting/financial reporting experience
- Strong written and verbal skills
- Proficiency with Microsoft Office package – specifically Excel, Word, PowerPoint
- Alteryx Core Certification desired
- Power BI experience desired
LANGUAGE SKILLS
Ability to read and interpret documents such as safety rules, operating and maintenance instructions, and procedure manuals. Ability to write routine reports and correspondence. Ability to speak effectively before groups of employees or customers.
MATHEMATICAL SKILLS
Ability to add, subtract, multiply, and divide in all units of measure, using whole numbers, common fractions, and decimals. Ability to compute rate, ratio, and percent and to draw and interpret bar graphs.
REASONING ABILITY
Ability to apply common sense understanding to carry out instructions furnished in written, oral, or diagram form. Ability to deal with problems involving several concrete variables in standardized situations.

The work environment is in a busy office setting. The noise level in the work environment is usually moderate. While performing the duties of this job, the employee may be occasionally exposed to outside weather conditions and may be required to travel in small and large commercial aircraft.
