Equipment Operator (OPP) – ASRC Talent Solutions

JOB SUMMARY

The Equipment Operator is responsible for operating construction and maintenance equipment including facilitating material handling to job-sites

ESSENTIAL DUTIES

  • Review blueprints, schematic drawings, and job specifications to determine equipment requirements for assigned work.
  • Operate construction and maintenance equipment such as bobcats, loaders, 325-barrel vacuum trailers and 100-barrel vacuum trucks, diesel tankers, winch trucks, bed trucks, flatbed trailers, super suckers, boom trucks, pickups, trucks, tractors, and other light-duty equipment to facilitate material handling to the jobsite.
  • Perform routine and scheduled maintenance on equipment, including oil changes and lubrication.
  • Prepare, update, and maintain logs, records, and equipment maintenance schedules.
  • Monitor equipment operation and identify malfunctions.
  • Inspect, adjust, and perform minor equipment repairs.
  • Prepare and maintain inventory of supplies and equipment.
  • Clean, store, and maintain equipment as required.
  • Comply with Company and customer policies and procedures.
  • Support AES zero-incident safety culture and assume personal accountability and responsibility for safe work practices in all projects, activities, and operations.

REQUIRED EXPERIENCE

  • High school diploma or GED
  • A minimum of three (3) years of related experience and training is required.

PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS

  • Experience in the oil and gas industry and in the arctic environment preferred.

WORKING ON THE NORTH SLOPE

While working on the North Slope of Alaska, your lodging and food will be provided to you.  All camps provide warm meals and options to grab a quick lunch or snack from the spike rooms.   Rooms vary from single status to shared rooms where your roommate may work the opposite shift.  Wi-Fi and Internet is free and available within the camp.  Services vary depending upon where you are staying; however, most facilities offer housekeeping, self-serve laundry, commissary, mail, gyms, TV/Theater Room, etc.  Each facility will have their own accommodations and policies that will be reviewed upon on-site orientation.

The physical demands described herein are representative of those that must be met by an employee to successfully perform the essential functions of this position.

WORK ENVIRONMENT

A candidate must be able to meet the following non-exclusive requirements:                                                              

      Meet the AES Driving Records and Motor Vehicle Use Policy.

      Take and pass a pre-employment drug test which may include both UA and hair testing. 

      Meet the physical requirements of this position including working in a remote location under arctic conditions.                    

      Required to take and pass a Fit-For-Duty Exam 

      Required to complete and successfully pass a background check. 

      Must be able to obtain and maintain an access badge for the work location.

The availability of this position is contingent upon the Company’s continued operational needs once training is completed.
