EPT is looking for a Senior Mechanical Engineer to join a team developing a new North Slope project! This individual will be responsible for preparing technical deliverables for all project phases following established engineering principles, procedures, and criteria in a single or multi-discipline environment. This individual provides mechanical engineering expertise, develops design drawings, performs engineering calculations, and ensures deliverables conform to client documents, field philosophy, and applicable code and industry standard requirements.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES (AND OTHER DUTIES AS ASSIGNED)
  • Provides mechanical engineering support to facilities design and operations.
  • Provides discipline technical support during the project FEL process for new and/or revamp projects.
  • Provides technical support for problem solving and development of recommendations to reduce or eliminate failures.
  • Keeps abreast of new developments in applicable codes in order to utilize the latest available technology.
  • Assists in the design, layout, testing, and evaluation of mechanical and electro-mechanical devices or systems.
  • Provides support for design and/or modification of hardware in production.
  • Oversees technical studies.
  • Supports supply chain in mechanical system and equipment procurement activities.
  • Comply with Company and customer policies and procedures.
  • Support AES zero-incident safety culture and assume personal accountability and responsibility for safe work practices in all projects, activities, and operations.

MINIMUM EDUCATION, SKILLS, AND EXPERIENCE
7-10 years of experience in a similar industry or field. Understands advanced aspects of discipline and is viewed as an expert in the field. Applies broad range of competencies to develop solutions to complex problems. Influences others to achieve objectives. Often provides specialized/technical/functional guidance to others within department and/or business asset. Oil and Gas experience preferred.

CERTIFICATIONS
Must have a valid driver’s license.

A candidate must be able to meet the following non-exclusive requirements:                                    
  • Take and pass a pre-employment drug test which may include both UA and hair testing.
  • Meet the physical requirements of this position including working in a remote location under arctic conditions.
  • Required to take and pass a Fit-For-Duty Exam.
  • Required to complete and successfully pass a background check.
  • Must be able to obtain and maintain an access badge for the work location.

The availability of this position is contingent upon the Company’s continued operational needs once training is completed.
