QC Inspector (Seasonal) – HCC

 

 

 

JOB SUMMARY

The QC Inspector must be familiar will all quality-related phases of pipeline construction as they will be primarily responsible for inspecting pipeline installation, verifying, and documenting that installations meet appropriate ASME, API, AWS codes and owner specifications. This is for the new construction of pipelines to support the development of pipeline projects for ConocoPhillips. There are multiple QC Inspector positions available; 12 QC Inspectors w/CWI and 4 Civil Inspectors w/NACE required for these projects.

 

This is a temporary, seasonal position eligible to enroll in Company benefits. This position is expected to start on or about January 2025, and to be complete on or about May 2025. Actual duration may depend on project operational needs and client schedule.

 

 

 

ESSENTIAL DUTIES

      Inspect and verify pipeline installation to ensure ASME, API, AWS codes and Owner specifications are met.

      Tracking piping Joint and Heat numbers.

      VSM/HSM Bolting and Setting.

      VSM Slurry.

      Pipe saddle installation.

      Welding inspection of Structural components.

      Welding inspection of Pipeline welds.

      Welding inspection of Repair welds.

      Submittal of information for NDE requests.

      TVA installation.

      Coating and Insulation inspection.

      Maintain accurate documentation of all installations; all reports are computer based, and the QC Inspector will be responsible for providing their own laptop.

      Interpret isometric drawings, plan drawings, P&IDs, and Owner specifications.

      Work with the Owner QA to ensure Owner expectations are being met.

      Other duties will be assigned to this position as needed.

      Comply with Company and customer policies and procedures.

      Support AES-HCC zero-incident safety culture and assume personal accountability and responsibility for safe work practices in all projects, activities, and operations.

 

 

 

REQUIRED EXPERIENCE

      Must be authorized to work in the United States.

      A High School Diploma or GED is required.

      A valid (U.S issued) Driver’s License is required.

      A North Slope Training Cooperative (NSTC) safety training certification is required.

      A CWI welding inspection certification is required.

      A NACE 2 certification for liquid/two-part or FBE coating inspection is required.

      The ability to work 84 hours a week on a 3x3 or 6x1 rotation is required.

      A minimum of three (3) years of experience conducting inspections in production fields, pipelines, or facility work in the Oil and Gas industry, and/or on the North Slope is required.

      Knowledge of pipe welding, structural welding and erection, coatings, civil and documentation requirements are required.

      The ability to read and understand project specifications, codes, industry standards, project drawings, and other related documents in a clear and concise manner is required.

      Strong familiarity with the ConocoPhillips and AES-HCC Safety Philosophies and striving for an Incident Free Culture is required.

 

 

 

PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS

·         Five (5) or more years of experience working as a QC Inspector in the Oil and Gas industry and/or on the North Slope is preferred.

·         A NACE certification for Denso tape inspection is preferred.

WORKING ON THE NORTH SLOPE

While working on the North Slope of Alaska, your lodging and food will be provided to you. All camps provide warm meals and options to grab a quick lunch or snack from the spike rooms.

 

Rooms vary from single status to shared rooms where your roommate may work the opposite shift. Wi-Fi and Internet are free and available within the camp. Services vary depending upon where you are staying; however, most facilities offer housekeeping, self-serve laundry, commissary, mail, gyms, TV/Theater Room, etc.

 

Each facility will have their own accommodations and policies that will be reviewed upon on-site orientation.
