JOB SUMMARY
The Branch Manager is responsible for the operations oversight of Builders Choice wholesale locations, including selling, merchandising, and promoting product. 

 

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES 

  • Manage branch operations including sales, warehousing, and delivery services. 
  • Develop, maintain, and manage key accounts.
  • Identify and set sales goals relevant to the market and customer needs.  
  • Manage and coordinate workload of direct reports to ensure appropriate prioritization and facilitation of customer orders.
  • Identify and develop new wholesale accounts.
  • Resolve customer complaints in a positive and empathetic manner.  
  • Follow up with customers to ensure job completion and satisfaction, as appropriate. 
  • Ensure the safe operation of the facility.  
  • Maintain regular contact with customers to achieve sales targets.
  • Approval of branch expenses and oversee branch budget.
  • Generate new business from existing and new customers. 
  • Travel to business locations and customer meetings. 
  • Promote shareholder hire and development.
  • Perform other related duties as assigned. 

KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS, AND ABILITIES 

  • Ability and willingness to abide by the company’s code of conduct, policies and procedures.
  • Comply, understand, and support the company’s safety culture to ensure a safe work environment.
  • Strong knowledge, understanding and sensitivity to the Inupiat culture. 
  • Ability to read and interpret documents such as safety rules, operating and maintenance instructions, and procedure manuals. 
  • Ability to write routine reports and correspondence. 
  • Ability to speak effectively before groups of employees or customers. 
  • Ability to add, subtract, multiply, and divide in all units of measure, using whole numbers, common 
  • Ability to maintain confidentiality. 
  • Comprehensive industry knowledge, including the features and benefits of the materials and services provided.
  • Ability to solve problems and issues 
  • Ability to prioritize multiple tasks and meet assigned deadlines. 
  • Strong focus on safety and quality

EDUCATION and/or EXPERIENCE
Required

  • High school diploma or equivalent. 
  • Five (5) years’ supervisory experience in a building materials supply company. 
  • Valid driver’s license with an acceptable driving record. 
  • Ability to complete Supervisor Signs and Symptoms training within ninety (90) days of hire. 
  • Ability to obtain and maintain First Aid / CPR / AED certifications. 

Preferred

  • Ten (10) years of sales experience. 
  • Forklift experience and certification.
