JOB SUMMARY

The Foreman is responsible for coordinating the daily activities of craft personnel engaged in construction and maintenance work. This position supervises personnel and ensures the implementation of project plans and specifications.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Assign responsibilities and coordinate the work of craft personnel.
  • Coordinate personnel schedules and monitor the level of work performed.
  • Review daily time sheets and production numbers.
  • Develop, update, and maintain safety procedures.
  • Oversee equipment repairs and general facility maintenance.
  • Prepare work status and progress reports.
  • Supervise and provide guidance to craft personnel, including: interviewing, hiring, disciplining, coaching and training, addressing and resolving employee concerns, planning, assigning, directing work and assessing job performance.   
  • Perform other related duties as assigned.

QUALIFICATIONS
Required:

  • High school diploma or equivalent. 
  • Five (5) years’ related experience.
  • Valid driver’s license with an acceptable driving record.
  • Ability to complete Supervisor Signs and Symptoms within 90 days of hire.
  • Ability to complete First Aid / CPR / AED training within 90 days of hire.
  • Current OSHA 10 hr or the ability to obtain within 90 days of hire.

Preferred:

  • Skill in the use of Microsoft Office products at an intermediate level.
  • Experience in the oil and gas industry, vertical construction  and in the arctic environment.
