Crane operator to work on various rural Alaska projects. Crane type and size will vary by project. Able to follow hand signals and direction from ironworkers and carpenters.  Able to understand and read load charts to safely lift and place material and equipment. Must also be able to operate other equipment for material handling and provide general project support as needed. 

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES (and other duties as assigned)
1. Operate small hydraulic cranes, large telescopic (swing cab) greater than 17.5 tones and small telescopic (fixed cab) cranes.
2.  Required to lift into place under direction of the ironworkers or carpenters all structural steel, metal decking, insulated wall panels, bucket concrete into place on the decks and misc. lifts of material. 
3. Will be responsible for servicing the crane and other equipment, along with light maintenance. 
4. Operate loaders and forklifts when craning is not required.
5. Maintain a well-organized work environment
6. Work safely in a team environment and be able to take direction when working with co-workers and supervisors
7. Perform a variety of different tasks associated with construction and maintenance
8. Complete work on time, consistently 
9. Ability and wiliness to abide by ACHC code of conduct, policies and procedures
10. Comply, understand, and support ACHC safety culture to ensure a safe work environment
11. Display knowledge, understanding, and sensitivity to the Inupiat Culture

12. Other duties as assigned


1. 7 to 10 years crane experience.
2. NCCCO accredited operator.
3. Must meet the requirements of and pass the written core examination, with experience in small hydraulic cranes, large telescopic (swing cab) greater than 17.5 tones and small telescopic (fixed cab) cranes.
4. Must have current medical examiners certificate as per ASME 330.5.  Ideal candidate will have certification, LBT, LBC, TSS, TLL and TWR.
5. Welding experience and certification preferred
6. Must have basic math skills to make calculations

1. Valid Alaska Driver’s License
2. Current NCCCO card
